The heartbreak of losing a horse is immeasurable, so finding an appropriate way to commemorate this kind of loss can be quite a challenge. Everywhere you look there are memories, from first and last ribbons, buckles and trophies, embroidered jackets and bridle bags, to the engraved nameplate on the door of an empty stall.

Scott Reinartz honored his gelding, My Bar Passer, aka ‘Eddie’, with stained glass artwork he hangs near his trophy case filled with belt buckles and plaques.
Scott says, “Eddie was a talented, yet grumpy old soul who always had an opinion of how things should work and would have no issue letting me, or trainer Miya Childers, know what he thought. Even though he was opinionated with his own attitude, he’s a hard-to-forget horse. I look back and I’m not sure who loved him more, me or Miya.”
