“For the red mare that made all my dreams come true,” says Hannah Dunn, who reports that Shez Sucha Sensation, 2008 APHA sorrel solid mare by Zippos Sensation and out of Santa Barbara, has passed away.

“Maggie earned high points, circuit awards, year-end state awards, open show and 4-H accolades, and she was nearly undefeated in horsemanship, equitation, (western pleasure when she felt like it), and trail. She had less than six months of professional training her whole life, she was maintained by me year-round and at the shows,” says Hannah.

“Most importantly, she was my best friend and my favorite horse to ride in the world. Many horses test you and challenge you, but Maggie only ever gave me confidence and her effort 100% of the time. She has given rides to children as young as three, and I can count on two hands the amount of times she spooked in her 15 years. I will never be able to replace her.”

Our deepest condolences to Hannah, whose photo has been on our website before when she and Maggie were Reserve High Point winners at the 2021 APHA World Show: Congratulations 2021 APHA World Show All-Around and High Point Winners | Equine Chronicle
