This man claims that he has always been a dog person and he just wants to adopt dogs. For this reason, he went to his local animal shelter to bring a dog home.
However, when he got there all the dogs had already been adopted and moved into their new homes.
But there was one kitty, named marbles, who was in a cage at the back of the room and the woman there said he could hold her if he wanted to.
So he opened her cage and the kitten started meowing excitedly. He picked her up and she pushed her face into the brim of his cap, his heart just melted.
“I turned into a huge sap,” he said. “I didn’t like or ever want cats before this.”
He adopted Marbles but soon changed her name to Barb.
“I was not a cat guy, but I guess you could say I’m a cat guy now!”
Thanks to the love and help of this man, Barb is now a beautiful, sweet and feisty kitty.
About six months after he adopted Barb, he adopted Rupert the dog.
They soon became close friends and spend most of their time playing and chasing each other.
I think these three are going to have a happy and enjoyable life together!
