Monday already is the crappiest day of the week, so it only makes sense that we make things official. Here’s our latest “oh crap” moment.

The local police scanner is always good fodder for a few solid “oh crap” moments. Sure, most of these moments don’t have to do with horses, but every once in a while, you get a gem like this. There may be no art to go with it, but as horse people, we can picture this whole interaction, step-by-step, and know almost exactly how it went down.

The “oh crap” started with this simple tweet (is it still a tweet? what the heck are we calling it now?):

Okay, so this… isn’t great. And it gets less great as time goes on. Here is the full thread:

The level of “oh crap” here is pretty impressive. This could have ended very, very badly.

So, for those of you not familiar with Pittsburgh (because why would you be?), here is where the horse was swimming:

Like, there’s NO horse property nearby. The closest green spaces you see are parks, schools, and cemeteries. There are some horse properties a few towns over, but they’re… not close. Suffice to say, this horse was LOST.

First and foremost, we’re glad everyone seems to be okay after an incident that could have gone south very quickly. Second, there is some freaking gold in the replies to the initial tweet. Perhaps my favorite is this interaction:

The “Sir, I’m a boat” just gets me. I can’t stop chuckling.

The next part that makes me laugh is this:

Like, we’ve all been there. Okay, maybe not here, exactly, but we’ve all been in the situation with our horse when things seem fine, but it turns out that Flicka has different ideas. The horse isn’t bothered by a train passing by RIGHT NEXT TO IT, but it sure as heck won’t be led next to the tracks after the fact.

Talk about #EquestrianProblems. 🙄

Go forth and tackle your Monday, Horse Nation.
