This morning, I’m sharing three Snowy Egret photos—two because I like them, and the last one because it makes me laugh out loud.

Graceful Snowy Egret in Utah

I checked to see when I might spot my first Snowy Egret of the season here, and it looks like it won’t be too long. Before the end of this month, I should start seeing them.

I’ve always enjoyed photographing this egret species. They can be challenging due to their white plumage, but I like challenges.

Snowy Egrets can look graceful.

And they can also look a bit dramatic. Their plumes add flair, especially when they are excited—that’s for sure!

This Snowy Egret was excited because another egret was trying to hunt for food in its territory. Watching their territorial behaviors can be a lot of fun.

I added this last photo because it makes me laugh each and every time I look at it. The egret’s bill is full of food, and it’s pooping at the same time.

The gull? I think it just wanted to get the heck out of Dodge!

Life is good.

Mia
