Watching curious dogs in action can always boost one’s serotonin levels, especially when it’s a Golden Retriever puppy figuring out the ways of the world. The Instagram account @archiethegoldstar posted a video of dog Archie testing out a cherry tomato that his mom handed him one day. The pup, still exploring new things in the human universe, didn’t understand the fruit’s purpose. However, his playful antics left a mark on netizens, who couldn’t stop adoring the little one.

Instagram video shows Golden Retriever puppy figuring out how to use cherry tomato

Golden Retriever puppy Archie is still understanding how the world works, and a cherry tomato didn’t quite help him. Instead, it only boosted his curiosity as he deciphered the object to its fullest potential. Earlier this month, the pup’s mom handed him the fruit abruptly one day and recorded his reactions to it in an Instagram video. The owner captioned it, “Mom gave me a cherry tomato..didn’t know what to do with it.”

The clip began with Archie peacefully relaxing on his dog bed, with a cherry tomato in his mouth. Instead of eating it, the fruit dropped to the ground. The fruit then became one with his toys scattered on the floor, which only appeared to confuse the dog more. The Golden Retriever picked up the tomato and returned to his bed, only for it to drop again.

Archie, visibly frustrated by the cherry tomato’s behavior, sprinted to the floor, picked it up again, and went back to his resting place. This time around, the dog was more careful not to drop it on the ground. He placed the fruit close to him on the bed, carefully guarding it to make sure history wouldn’t repeat itself. Once he was successful in his endeavor, he observed the object peacefully.

Meanwhile, the Instagram video also captured Archie’s owners capturing his every move while also doting on him from a distance. Many netizens believed the pup played with the cherry tomato, thinking it could be a ball.
